1. Smooth, Stepless Speed Regulation:
Traditional controls only have fixed speeds of fast, medium, and slow. However, a VFD offers an unlimited number of speeds within its rated range, achieving truly stepless speed regulation. Operators can fine-tune the speed to accommodate various precision lifting and positioning requirements.
2. Smooth Soft Start and Stop:
The VFD controls the output frequency and voltage slope to gradually accelerate and decelerate the motor. This completely eliminates the jerky start-up and hook slippage during shutdown, significantly protecting the crane's steel structure, transmission mechanisms (such as wire ropes and drums), and the load being hoisted.
3. Excellent Low-Speed Performance:
Traditional cranes suffer from insufficient torque at low speeds, making them prone to slippage. High-performance VFDs utilize vector control technology, delivering full or even excess output torque (over 150%) even at extremely low speeds (e.g., 0.1Hz-0.5Hz), ensuring smooth and reliable micro-movement and positioning of heavy loads.
