Feature | European-Style A5 Crane |
Duty Classification | A5 (Heavy Duty/Intensive Use) – Designed for frequent, high-intensity operations. |
Structural Design | Lighter yet stronger due to optimized steel structures and precision welding. |
Hoisting Mechanism | High-performance hoist (e.g., modular design) with faster speeds and longer service life. |
End Carriages | Compact, low-headroom design with 42CrMo wheels for smoother travel. |
Control System | Advanced frequency control (VF drive) for precise, jerk-free movement. |
Maintenance | Reduced maintenance due to premium |
Lifespan | Components; longer lifespan even in demanding conditions. |
Cost | Higher initial investment but lower total cost of ownership (TCO) |
1. Extremely compact structural design (core advantage)
Lower main beam height: Using optimized box beams or I-beams with camber, the main beam section height is 15%-30% lower than that of traditional single beams, significantly improving the effective clearance of the plant.
Smaller end beam size: The European end beam has a compact structure and narrow width, which reduces the "dead zone" of the trolley operation and maximizes the use of the horizontal space of the plant.
Compressed height of electric hoist: The matching European electric hoist (such as German Demag, Italian GH, and domestic elite brands) is slim in design, and the drum is closer to the track surface, further reducing the overall lifting height requirement.
Advantages: Especially suitable for low-rise plants, renovation projects or scenes where the lifting height needs to be maximized.
2. Safe and reliable:
Equipped with necessary safety protection devices, usually including:
Lifting limit switch: Prevent the hook from hitting the top.
Running limit switch: Prevent the trolley and car from rushing out of the track limit position.
Emergency stop switch: An emergency stop button is provided on the operating handle or remote control.
Overload protection (optional or standard): Prevent overload operation (built-in for some models of electric hoists).
Power-off brake: Conical rotor motor or disc brake ensures automatic braking when power is off.
Sound and light alarm (optional): Can issue a warning during operation.
3. Driving mode:
Trolley operation: Usually driven at both ends (i.e., each driving wheel on both sides has a set of motor + reducer + brake) or centralized drive (a set of drive devices drives the wheels on both sides through a long drive shaft).
Trolley operation (i.e., electric hoist operation): driven by the trolley operation motor of the electric hoist.
Lifting: driven by the lifting motor of the electric hoist.
4.Simple operation and flexible operation:
Mainly rely on the electric hoist (usually a wire rope electric hoist) suspended under the main beam for vertical lifting operations.
The entire crane (trolley) can run longitudinally along the tracks on both sides of the plant.
The electric hoist (trolley) can run horizontally along the track on the lower flange of the main beam.
Usually equipped with ground handle operation or wireless remote control operation, the operator can flexibly follow and control on the ground, with good vision, simple and intuitive operation.
